ACP Product Highlights

ACP's primary product is our Thin Client management and enabling software, ThinManager. Although we have been selling and enhancing this product since our first install in August of 1999, many people don't know exactly what products we sell. To that end we have produced this brief listing of some of our most popular offerings.

The core of our business for the last 4 years, these products include our award winning Thin Client management and enabling software (ThinManager) along with a preset number of licenses (5, 10 or 25). ThinManager enhances basic Terminal Services from Microsoft, allowing the deployment of intelligent Thin Clients and resulting in a much more user-friendly Thin Client environment. Configuration wizards, automatic server failover and redundancy, centralized support and client settings and a number of specialized industrial modules make ThinManager a necessity for any Thin Client installation!

As the number of Thin Clients at a single location grows, the need for comprehensive and affordable management software grows as well. ACP's Enterprise level ThinManager software licenses each allow an unlimited number of Microsoft Terminal Servers and Thin Clients to be installed for a fixed price. Whether you have a single network (Enterprise Server), a large spread-out site (Enterprise Site) or a number of locations throughout North America, each of these license options allow you to reduce your cost per client as you expand your Thin Client coverage.

Out of the box, ACP ThinManager allows the Thin Client to detect server problems and switch to the next available server. The Instant Failover Module allows each Thin Client to connect to two servers at the same time, reducing the time required to move to a backup server to under one second. Additionally, the user can use a simple hot-key to switch between the two sessions, effectively allowing two completely different server sessions at the same time on a single Thin Client.

Next to Instant Failover, this one of the more powerful add-on modules for ThinManager. The Share Keyboard and Mouse module lets a single operator station control up to five different Thin Clients. A single mouse and keyboard are connected to one of the ACP Enabled Thin Clients, and as the mouse moves off the edge of the controlling client it appears on the screen of another. The keyboard input travels with the mouse focus.
TM-CS-001 Users wishing to always have the latest version of ThinManager software should invest in the annual ACP Comprehensive Support package. This single fee covers every ThinManager license at a single site for an entire year. Members in this program receive priority technical support and software "point" releases (mailed to the address of record) as they become available.
TA-10-001 Companies with obsolete computer equipment can use this NIC (ACP's ThinAdapter) to convert these units into fully functional ACP Enabled Thin Clients. This card is a fraction of the cost of even an office grade client, and can give new life to equipment that cost thousands of dollars new but now won't even load the latest version of Microsoft's OS. Plug in a ThinAdapter, disconnect the disk drives, and turn on the PC as a true Thin Client!
Pre-Configured Servers Companies find that setting up their initial Microsoft Terminal Servers may be a task that is more than they want to tackle. To that end, ACP offers servers that come loaded with a Microsoft Terminal Server operating system (Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server) and all of the required licenses from Microsoft, Citrix, and ACP. Purchase one of these ready-to-go machines and you are able to plug in ACP Enabled Thin Clients as soon as the server boots.

Note on Thin Client hardware:

While ACP does not sell any Thin Client hardware, all of these features discussed above (and many more) are available on any ACP Enabled Thin Client, supplied by independent hardware companies from around the world. Whether the choice is the industrial "brick" from Advantech, a Thin Client and touchscreen combination from Xycom, an office grade client from TeleVideo, a PC converted with the ThinAdapter, or any of a number of other Thin Client models from any ACP hardware partner, each device works the same way, and all clients are interchangeable.
