What follows are a few questions with answers that will help explain the new ACP Support and Upgrade program. If you have any additional questions of your own please feel free to contact us.
Yes. Support is purchased for a particular location, and the support and upgrades will cover all of the licenses that are installed at that location. The only difference in price is as a result of when the support is purchased. If the support is purchased by itself, then the list price is $1,500 US. If the support is purchased at the same time that new ThinManager licenses are purchased, then the price drops to $1,350.
Yes. A user is enrolled in the program as soon as the support is purchased from ACP, and the term of the support contract (and the period for free ThinManager upgrades) is for 12 months from the date of purchase. ACP will notify users within 1 month of contract expiration.
The customer needs to supply all of the licenses at a given location to have them covered under the support program. Also required will be the customer name and location to be covered under the support.
Each support contract will be printed and mailed to the customer within a few days of support activation. This single page document will have the customer name, the ACP support ID, and the licenses that are covered by the program.
Yes - and this is one of the reasons for supplying the license numbers when the support is purchased. This way if the support number cannot be found ACP can validate the customer's participation in the program by cross-referencing with the ThinManager license number(s).
TM-CS-000 - The part number if ordered at the same time as new ThinManager licenses.
TM-CS-001 - The part number when ordered separately.
By April of 2003, ACP will have a new version of ThinManager, Version 2.4. This is not a free upgrade, and ACP will charge by the license to convert from 2.3 to 2.4. Customers in the Support Program, however, will be able to upgrade all of the licenses covered by the program at no cost. ACP Support customers will also be able to download any updates to ACP ThinServer, ACP Thin Client firmware, the ACP Terminal Capabilities Database, and new touchscreen modules as they become available.

ACP will answer any and all questions about ACP ThinManager, ACP Enabled Thin Clients, and the Thin Client and Terminal Server system overall. While we have a great deal of experience with a number of Terminal Server applications, we may have to refer certain application specific questions to the manufacturer of the software.
Yes.
Every ThinManager license that is purchased automatically enrolls the customer in the Support Program for 30 days from the date of the license activation. Since the free 30-day enrollment starts at license activation and not when the product is actually purchased, the customer will have adequate time to get the system up and running.
All ACP software (ThinManager, ThinServer, Terminal Capabilities Database, etc.) and all ACP Enabled Hardware, whether purchased through ACP or directly from the hardware manufacturer.
