DNS Configuration Wizard

Selecting Manage>DNS Configuration from the ThinManagermenu will launch the Domain Name Server Wizard to allow the definition of Domain Name Servers. This wizard only needs to be run if DNS is used on the system.

The Domain Name Service Wizard Introduction screen asks if a DNS server is being used. Select the System using a DNS server radio button and select the Next button to proceed.

  • The Add DNS Server button will launch a dialog box that allows a DNS Server to be added to the list.
  • The Remove DNS Server button will remove a highlighted DNS server from the list.
  • The Up and Down arrow keys will change the order of DNS servers used. Highlight a DNS server in the list and select the appropriate arrow.
  • Selecting the Read DNS Setting from this computer will transfer the DNS settings from the local computer into ThinManager.
  • The Domain field and the Search Domain field can be filled manually.
  • Selecting the Add DNS Server will launch a dialog box that allows the IP address of the DNS server to be added.

To add a DNS server, add the IP address of the DNS server into the DNS Server dialog and select OK. Additional IP addresses can be listed by selecting the Add DNS Server button again.

The DNS server(s) will be displayed in the DNS Servers window of the Domain Name Servers Configuration page.

Select the Finished button when the DNS configuration is done.
