Firmware is the operating system for ThinManager Ready thin clients. Each time a ThinManager Ready thin client boots, it connects to a ThinManager Server, downloads the firmware, then expands it into RAM for use as an operating system.
When changes to the firmware are made, the new version can be downloaded from the download site at ThinManager.com and applied to the ThinManager Server. Once the new firmware is loaded, the thin clients will load the new firmware whenever they are rebooted.
From the ThinManager menu select Install>Firmware in ThinManager 3.1 and 3.2 or Manage>Install New Firmware with older versions to launch a file browser.

Install New Firmware
Select the new version of the firmware.acp and select Open. This will install the new version of the firmware.
The ThinManager Enabled thin clients wil use the new firmware as soon as they are rebooted.
ThinManager has a Terminal Capability Database (termcap.db) that provides ThinManager with the configuration parameters for each thin client model. At each terminal connection, the TermCap database is checked and an integrity check is performed. If the configuration does not match the terminal specifications, ThinManager may reconfigure the terminal to acceptable parameters.
As ACP Hardware partners release new ACP Enabled hardware, ACP will update the TermCap database to include the new units. When a new model of hardware is purchased the TermCap may need to be updated to to the latest version from the downloads section of ThinManager.com.
From the ThinManager menu select Install> TermCap Database in ThinManager 3.1 and 3.2 or Manage>Install NewTermCap Database with older versions to launch a file browser.

Install New TermCap Database
An Open dialog box will be launched. Select the new version of the termcap.db and select the Open button. This will install the new version.
